Las Vegas Raiders’ Davante Adams shows comparison of Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr’s ‘Hall of Famer’

Henderson, Neff – Laughs Davant Adams On Sunday, he clarified his recent comments that caused an uproar in comparison Aaron Rodgersformer quarterback with the Green Bay Packers, to Derek Carrthe new quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders.

“Anytime you change your quarterback from Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer… it would be a small adjustment,” He told CBS Sports Friday.

Rodgers, who is entering his 18th season in the NFL, is a four-time MVP in the league and was also named MVP in the Packers Super Bowl XLV win.

Carr, entering his ninth NFL season, is a three-time professional who holds every passing record in Raiders franchise history and just made his first playoff game (breaking his right leg ended his second pre-season 2016 season) but has a career record In the regular season from 57-70 only.

Adams compared his initial comparison to a musical slip.

“Being a rapper, that’s so vital, you obviously have to have bars,” Adams said on Sunday. “You know you have to have the bars. The line has to be there. But the very vital and crucial part of being a rapper is the delivery, right? I wasn’t a great rapper that day.”

“What I won’t do is take away from that statement because, why wasn’t Derek a Hall of Famer? What I meant, I left out one keyword because that’s not exactly what I meant. But I think Derek’s career is Hall of Famer worthy, and why not? Does he have better? A player right now? No. Has he won the Super Bowl? Not yet. That’s clearly what we’re after.”

Adams and Carr were college mates at Fresno State, and Carr’s presence in Las Vegas was a big factor in trading an All-Pro receiver with this out-of-place Raiders.

“But what I meant was, ‘Even if I move from Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer, that’s an adjustment. I wasn’t saying, “Hall of Famer Aaron to Hall of Famer Derek.” Therefore, I’m not going back on my statement at all.”

In fact, Adams defended the one-time and current quarterback.

“Derek’s career, frankly, looks at the numbers he’s had and what he’s been up to working with and the ordeals he’s been through in Oakland and coming to Vegas and the kind of things that’ve been going on here in the past, that we hope we put all of these things to bed, but,” Adams said, Yes, I didn’t deliver that message the way it was in my head.” “Then, when I saw [the original quote] Written, it made my stomach fall a little bit because I was like, “Oh my gosh, here we go. People are going to blow this up and they’ll take everything I say, and we’re the only team in camp right now.”

Adams laughed.

“But what I wouldn’t do is say Derek isn’t going to be a Hall of Fame because at the end of the day I think – that doesn’t put any expectations or any extra pressure on him because he puts that kind of pressure on himself because of what he expects every time he touches the court.” “But yeah, I didn’t mean to say that exactly. I’ll repeat – even if I moved from one Hall of Famer to another Hall of Famer, that would be an adjustment. Anytime you change a quarterback, that’s what I’ve been doing. So take that and run with it and do what you want to do with it.”
