NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Now Available for $900, $200 Cheaper in Just 10 Days

High-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 GPUs get more discounts, mid-range models don’t get much

Another week, another price drops, but only for some models.

The retailer is clearly getting rid of the high-end GeForce RTX 30 models. Unfortunately, that’s not the case with the mid-range and entry-level SKUs. nvidia was expected To announce the RTX 30 series price cuts in mid-July, but unfortunately that didn’t happen either, at least not officially. Instead, we had “unofficial” price cuts by retailers and board partners (such as EVGA) who were selling cards at the rumored discounted prices.

Apply fast for 10 days, we now have lower rates. For example, the RTX 3090 Ti, which has already fallen from $2,000 to $1,500, is now selling for $1,450, another $50 in just 10 days. This is based on the lowest prices from Newegg (new items only).

The same price cut applies to the RTX 3090, now available for $1,250. More importantly, there is an even bigger discount on the RTX 3080 Ti Ventus from MSI. With postage in rebate, the card can be purchases for 900 USDthis $200 cheaper in just 10 days.

Of course, this is a local discount for one store only, but it shows a clear trend that should eventually be seen in other companies. After looking at the MSRPs, and mid-July price discounts that current Benchlife and Newegg mentioned, we can immediately see that only the high-end models get big discounts very quickly, but the mid- and low-end SKUs are still above the MSRP.

Just a few months ago, no one would have thought that the RTX 3090 would sell for such a low price. But just this week the RTX 3090 dropped to $999 at one retailer and that offer has been available for at least two days.

As we head into September/October, many of these offers will appear at various retailers, especially for the high-end chain redeemed first. NVIDIA plans to list the RTX 4090 as the first next-generation model to launch, so there will be pressure to sell as many RTX3090Ti/3090 cards as possible first.
